The 2025 FHANA Board of Directors

03/27/2025

On March 1, 2025 Marquis Laude, Mark Boonstra and Danielle Piascik (re-elected) joined the Board of Directors at an in-person meeting in Cincinatti, OH.  The 2024 Directors met in the morning to discuss and finalize the end of year business.  The Board thanked Joann Clough for being on the Board for the past three years.  Joann unfortunately opted not to run for re-election.  She will be missed.  Joann was instrumental in multiple committees and contributed countless hours to the organization.

Mr. Marquis Laude will be the new President, while Danielle Piascik will support the Board as the Vice President.  Katie Wenger will represent the Board as the Secretary and Eric Smith will be the new Treasurer.  Serving as directors will be Willem Bron and Mark Boonstra.

Some notable changes for the organization relates to the structure of the committees.  The Board agreed that while the Board of Directors will all agree on the Liaison and the Chair for each committee, the Liaison and the Committee Chair will assemble and select the members of the committee.  The Board also agreed on the duties of the Liaison.

A FHANA Board Liaison is a collaborator between the Board of Directors and a specific committee. A Liaison is charged with facilitating the relationship between the Board and the committee and with overseeing the committee to ensure adherence to the goals and interests of the committee’s charter. The Liaison may participate in committee discussions, provide guidance, and suggest ideas and concepts to the committee chair. The Liaison may not vote on committee motions under any circumstances. Upon the passage of a committee motion, the Liaison shall present the motion to the Board of Directors. The Liaison may, at the Board’s request, clarify or elaborate on the committee’s discussions surrounding the motion.

The Board of Directors would like to thank our volunteers for their commitment to the organization and for the endless hours they’ve contributed to the organization.
