FHANA Youth Performance Awards
Youth Performance Dressage Award-Sponsored by The Friesian Connection
Youth Performance Driving Award-Sponsored by Dan Dali-Haber
Youth Performance Riding Award-Sponsored by Lone Star Friesian Horse Club
The purpose of the FHANA Youth Performance Awards is to promote and
encourage young people to compete KFPS/FHANA Friesian horses in
competitive riding, driving and dressage. The FHANA Youth Performance Riding, Driving, and
Dressage Awards will follow the already established point system and eligibility
requirements for the Performance Riding, Driving, and Dressage Awards, with the
addition that the driver/rider must be 21 years of age or under as of December
31st of the competition year. The competition year being December 1 previous year – November 30 of the current year.
The Youth Performance Driving Award may include driven dressage classes. The Youth Performance Riding Award may include any under saddle class except dressage classes.
The top award winners’ names will be placed on a plaque displayed in the
FHANA office and will receive the same prizes/awards the Adult Performance
Award winners receive.
If a class is judged by more than one official, the results must be averaged together for one award score. (example: one cannot turn in three tests or 3 results from three different judges all from the same ride/drive/class when there were 3 officials judging, but the average of those scores may be used for one score).
