Vitamin E seems to be at the forefront of many discussions about horse nutrition these days. Vitamin E is important for many functions in the horse’s body, including the eyes, the reproductive tract, and the neuromuscular system.  Vitamin E deficiency can lead to a number of issues in horses, including some diseases that can be life-threatening.

While supplementing your horse may seem like a good idea, there is a lot to learn about Vitamin E before you supplement. Testing before you supplement is critical! It’s also important to understand the different types of Vitamin E, when to use each type, what amount to use, and how to confirm your supplement is actually working.
