This week is a sudden end to the life of the 11-year pedigree stallion Harmen 424 Sport. He appeared Saturday at the stallion show in St. Nicolaasga and Monday he passed suddenly.
Harmen 424 belonged in 2004 to the first class stallions in Ermelo. There he mad the new and bore "Number 50" . This was also where the family Toonen in Maren-Kessel caught sight of him. A year after his approval, he served continuously on their stallion stud service station. In the performance test in Drachten the Teunis332-son excelled, with a score of 86.5 points! Harmen 424 has many sucessful achievements in the sport, he also became Dutch champion in the open class at the KNHS.
Harmen 424 emerged as a popular stallion among breeders. This was reinforced by the quality of the offspring. His offspring are doing well at the inspections, witness its high ester percentage of around 50% and his fine breeding values. The look that Harmen 424 featured, he unmistakably passed along to his offspring. On the Stallion in 2007 he was named as reserve champion, while during the past Stallion alleging his section. A special ‘Harmen-time’ at the Stallion was there in January 2011, when he performed on the occasion of the (posthumous) preference statement of his father Teunis 332.
