DNA issues being resolved

03/24/2010

FHANA has been working with each of the various owners of these offspring to obtain new DNA samples of the horses in question.  After further DNA testing, FHANA is happy to report that the isses are coming back negative.  It seems that the samples we had previously were bad samples.  We are pleased to announce that the parentage of these offspring is in fact accurate.

We appreciate the stallion owner and the owners of the offspring in question cooperation as we conducted futher DNA testing.  FHANA is relieved to report that the problems experienced in the Netherlands regarding questionable parentage does not exist in North America.

To insure that this does not happen in the future, FHANA has taken the proper precautions in regards to DNA testing.  We currently test all horses being registered, and if there is a discrepancy with the results the issues are resolved immediately prior to the horse completing their registration process.

If any member should have any concerns or questions please feel free to contact the FHANA office.
