Four stallions have been entered for the Short Test of the KFPS: Thom van het Binnenveld Star Sport (Tsjalke 397 x Ids 300), Parel fan Goffert Star Sport Elite (Goffert 369 x Brend 413), Marten van Starking Star Sport (Dries 421 x Abe 346) and Sven B Star Sport (Wimer 461 x Maurus 441).
Another two stallions who had also applied for the Short Test were found not to meet the requirements: Tizian van Ass Star Sport (Epke 474 x Brandus 345) and Remmelt van Horp Star Sport Elite (Norbert 444).

Short Test for stallions with exceptional performances in the sport
The KFPS offers stallions that achieve exceptional performances in the sport the opportunity to become KFPS Studbook stallions. To be eligible, the stallions need a minimum of three separate 60% scores in the Prix St. Georges. These four stallions will shortly be presented to be assessed by the Stallion Inspection Committee. On the basis of this assessment the decision will be made whether they will be accepted for participation in the two-week Short Test.

Thom aka TalenTino JC
Thom (Tsjalke 397) competes in the sport under the name of TalenTino JC and with his rider Joey van de Grijp starts in the Light Tour. The 7-year-old stallion is from mare line 131, his dam is Star mare Zhana van het Binnenveld (Ids 300 x Ludse 305). As a 3-year-old Thom got as far as the Second Viewing but then was launched in the sport.

Marten revisited
For Marten van Starking (Dries 421) this is not the first time to be entered for the Short Test. Last year he also took part in the selection trajectory. In 2016 he participated in the Central Examination but just failed to cross the finishing line. By now he has certainly earned his marks in the sport: both in driving and showdriving as well as under saddle he has reached the higher echelons. Marten comes from mare line 94.

Sporty Sven
to write both the Pavo Fryso Cup Dressage and Showdriving titles to his name in 2019. And the Championship Horses2fly KFPS Sport Competition Showdriving also takes pride of place on his list of achievements. His performances in the sport earned him a nomination for the title of Horse of the Year in the previous year. End July the 8-year-old Sven was declared Sport Elite. His dam too, Dahlia Roaske Blomke B (Maurus 441) can boast the Sport predicate and so does his granddam: Roaske Blomke B. Star Sport Preferent Performance (Doaitsen 430). Sven comes from mare line 2.

Parel: Grand Prix qualified
In spite of his young age, the 8-year-old Parel fan Goffert Star Sport Elite (Goffert 369 x Brend 413) is already qualified to compete at Grand Prix level with his lady rider Nienke Schrale. Sport is in his genes, Parel’s dam is Model mare Wiebke Model Sport AA – from mare line 24. A mare who knew how to stand her ground both in the harness, under saddle as well as in driving. They hark back to the same line as Sport Elite stallion Joppe who won great acclaim in the harness.
