Each year in December the new breeding values for mares and stallions are established. These calculations incorporate the data on exterior (linear scores) and from aptitude tests.
Many more mares have been given breeding values for sport aptitude because from this year onwards the IBOP results (in addition to ABFP results) have also been taken into account for breeding value estimates.
Leading mares exterior and sport aptitude Top of the list comes Miranda v.d. Olde Mette Moate (Beart 411). This first premium Star mare owes her high position, among other things, to her exceptional ABFP results of 91 points with a 9 for canter. On her tail we find Model mare Bryske Dame (Jerke 434) who scored the grand total of 89,5 points in the IBOP riding test. The top three is completed by Miracle Lady of HC de Hoeve (Norbert 444) who last year at the age of three completed an ABFP test with 83 points and was declared Crown at the Central Examination.
Leading mares exterior In first position we find the 4-year-old Maaike (Tsjalle 454) owned by FHANA member Pier Van Der Hoek who became Preliminary Crown last autumn. She is a full sister to the also high-ranking Juwiel H. fan Lutke Peinjum who has received the Crown Predicate. Another newcomer in the top ten is the 3-year-old Preliminary Crown mare Nelia L. (Norbert 444).
Leading mares exterior and low kinship Mares combining high breeding values with low kinship percentages are a huge asset for breeding. Once again the top spot is occupied by Hitske (Sape 381). These three lists are available on the KFPS website. Breeding values of mares not included on the top lists can be found on My Horse (Mijn KFPS).
