Lolke 371 Sport

10/09/2014

It is with saddness that we inform the FHANA membership and the Friesian community of the passing of KFPS Friesian Stallion Lolke 371 Sport (Oege 267 x Reitse 272) owned by John Howard and Gloria Bowman.

Lolke was a cross of two (2) of the most famous Preferent Stallions Oege and Reitse in the history of the KFPS. Each of these sires in their own right have contributed through their offspring many of the modern day Approved Stallions for breeding. Lolke continued in that history with his son Felle 422. The use of this “blood” will reinforce breedings that may have Oege or Reitse background. He passed on his many inherent traits through to his foals. The legacy of a great breeding stallion is his offspring.

Lolke was heavily used in Holland. At the prestigious 2008 Esbeek Keuring in Holland, his daughter was one of 350 horses presented and was judged “Best in Show”.

Lolke 371, Sport was a "Stallion to Build a Dream Upon"

In lieu of condolences John and Gloria request donations be made to the Fenway Foundation for Friesian Horses.
