A Letter From the Editor

01/10/2013

Dear FHANA members – It has just come to my attention this morning that some of the Excel mailing file labels had last names mismatched to first names and addresses. This is causing some confusion among members. Due, most likely, to issues of Microsoft products from computer to computer, it is suspected that the Excel file transposed some data. ALL mags were delivered according to address, thus every member should receive their magazine. Just ignore the last name on it. The shipper is looking into the transposed lists at this moment.

Additionally, there were two complete and separate lists provided by the FHANA office and forwarded to the shipper: one was for members fully paid in membership and the other was for members whose membership was expiring. The latter would have a red "This is your Last Issue" on the envelop. At present, there is no reason to think these two separate and totally individual files were intertwined in the process.

As editor, I continue to look into this with the shipper and will let everyone know via the FHANA website as soon as the reason is known.
There was no intent to cause ANYONE any concern, confusion, or anxiety.
This particular shipping issue has NEVER happened before during my 10 years as editor, but we do not take it lightly. I sincerely apologize for any problems this has caused and will continue to look for the reason. Again: magazines are delivered by ADDRESS.

Sincerely,
Laurie Bell
Editor, The Friesian
