Friesian Stallions Arrive at Kentucky Horse Park

Special Friesian Horses Just Arrived Today from The Netherlands for Opening Ceremonies of Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games!

WHO:  The Kentucky Horse Park, the Friesian Association of North America, and The Netherlands

WHAT:  Media invitation to see special Dutch horses

WHEN:  Today, Friday, September 17

WHERE:  Big Barn at the Kentucky Horse Park

WHY:   These special Dutch Friesian stallions shipped into the park today from The Netherlands to perform for the opening ceremonies at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The six horses which are a part of the Koninklijke Vereniging "Het Friesch Paarden Stamboek" better known as the KFPS  which is the Royal studbook of the Netherlands.  These six Friesian Stallions will participate with four other Friesian stallions that currently stand in North America which are also Friesian Horse Association of North America/KFPS registered horses and will participate in the opening ceremonies of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.  These ten Friesian Stallions will be performing the Friesian Train to the world which is traditionally demonstrated during the Stallion Show which is held in Leeuwarden, Netherlands.     

These six stallions have traveled a great distance leaving Amsterdam early Monday morning traveling thorough a quarantine process in New York City to finally arriving at the Kentucky Horse Park this morning to get some well-deserved rest before they start rehearsing Saturday morning as they prepare to "wow" the world as they do for the Queen every year during the stallion show in the Netherlands.
