Breeding Management Practices in Mares with Dr. Alex Wittorff

This webinar will cover the estrous cycle in the mare, including seasonal anestrus and spring transition. The presentation will also detail breeding management practices to maximize fertility, such as the importance of a breeding soundness exam and considerations when breeding older mares. Additionally, Dr. Wittorff will cover common breeding management problems as well as diagnostics and solutions to help overcome them.
About Dr. Wittorff: Dr. Wittorff, DVM, was raised on a small farm near Billings, MT, and attended BYU-Provo and the University of Wyoming for undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering and pre-veterinary medicine. She received her DVM at Oklahoma State University and after completing a Theriogenology internship, she is currently the 1st year Theriogenology resident at Oklahoma State. In her free time, Dr. Wittorff enjoys running, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
