Congratulations to Deborah Horsch!

Marcolis was born May 25,  2018 on our small ranch in Oklahoma. His mother Richtje was imported from the Netherlands in foal bred to Markus 491.  I purchased her in 2017 and the Friesian breed stole my heart from that moment. Richtje was a maiden mare and had a sweet, loving disposition. I was present when Marcolis was born and this has given us a very special bond. He is very smart and loves to be around people and other animals. He is always in your pocket and interested in what you have, what you are doing and why you are doing it. He has been under saddle for almost a year and has come a long way, but is still learning and growing in more ways than one. We have had many new experiences and are learning together daily. He is just under 17 hands, he won Champion of the Geldings at the Kansas Keuring in 2022 and we recently showed in English and Western Classes at the State Fair. His favorite class seems to be trail because he is very inquisitive and likes doing new things.  We have set up trail obstacles in our arena and would like to try working equitation.  I think I enjoy most our trail rides around our home. We have beautiful views of the river and downtown OKC and we both enjoy being in nature. We have met a community of Friesian friends who are very helpful and eager to share their knowledge and love these black beauties. I have been blessed with having had these two beautiful Friesians in my life! I would like to thank my husband John, who is not really a horse person, for helping me on this exciting adventure.
