Yara will be turning six years old May 15, 2021, so is in the prime of her life for continuing performance training and for breeding.  Her lineage is: Dam - Elviera from the Friesian Connection and Sire - Mintse 384.  Yara participated in her first keuring as a yearling in 2016 and received a 2nd Premie.  In 2018, she participated in her second keuring, as a 3-year-old, and was awarded Ster, plus a 2nd Premie, and was accepted into the Studbook.
Yara has a very loving nature and gets along well with both humans and other horses.  She has had initial professional training under saddle and is a rapid and willing learner.  She would benefit from additional training under saddle and /or an experienced rider to guide her to her full potential.  She is forward moving, and high stepping with powerful movement at the walk and trot.
We've been raising Friesians on our small family farm for the past 11 years and all of our horses have tons of human contact on a daily basis.  Before we ever take them to a professional trainer, they're used to proper ground work handling, leading, blanketing, grooming, farrier work, vet care, lunging, being around farm equipment, and being pastured with other horses.  All of the trainers that have worked with our horses have commented about their wonderful dispositions, willingness to learn, and lack of any vices - no bucking, rearing, bolting, etc.
Yara has also given us a beautiful foal (Sire - Hessel 480) that is now almost a yearling.  She became pregnant with the first AI, handled the entire pregnancy without any problems, and willingly accepted us into her stall to greet her new arrival within minutes of his having been born.  Yara has been exceptionally healthy her entire life and would be able to be bred still this season for a 2022 foal.
Yara is at the stage of her life where she offers an excellent potential for success in the discipline of a new owner's choice and/or for future breeding for top quality offspring.  We are at the stage of life when it's time to cut back on our farming/breeding operations and are only looking for an excellent and loving home where Yara can continue to experience mutually positive relationships with her new family.
