Reproduction presented by Dr. Kory Niswender

Dr. Kory Niswender grew up on a small ranch in Northern Colorado. Dr. Niswender holds several degrees, including a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wyoming in Biochemistry, a Master of Science in Reproductive Physiology and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri. After graduation, he moved back to Colorado to complete an internship at Littleton Large Animal Clinic. Dr. Niswender then began a three-year residency program in the Equine Reproduction Laboratory at Colorado State University, where he earned another Master’s degree in Clinical Sciences. In 2003, Dr. Niswender became a diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists, qualifying him as a reproductive specialist. He began working for Reata Equine Hospital where he provided a wide range of reproductive services for six breeding seasons./p>

Dr. Niswender recently joined the team at ESMS to work in their full-service reproduction program. His professional affiliations include the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners, Society for Theriogenology and American College of Theriogenologists. His special interests include techniques for treating subfertility in mares, breeding mares with frozen semen and embryo transfers.
