My name is Justine Dornbier, I have been an active member of the Friesian Horse Association of North America since 2013. My passion for the Friesian breed began with the purchase of my first filly and has grown into a lifelong commitment to improving and promoting the breed here in the United States.Since 2016, I have traveled regularly to the Netherlands to attend the stallion show and build relationships within the KFPS community. Maintaining this direct connection has allowed me to stay in contact with KFPS members, stallion owners, breeders and trainers. Keeping up with these standards and trends is important to FHANA members to stay in the know and move the breed forward. I believe this continued involvement is essential to accurately representing the interests of our members and keeping our program aligned with KFPS standards.

I am the co-owner of the approved stallion Teun 505. I operate a breeding and boarding program in Wesley, Iowa called Imperial Reign Friesians. While my husband, Cody, owns and operates his own businesses, the day-to-day management, breeding decisions, and care of our horses are my responsibility. Raising foals, managing breeding mares, and prioritizing education and quality are at the core of my program.

As a wife and mother of 4, I bring dedication, strong work ethic, and a deep sense of responsibility to everything I do. My long-standing involvement, hands-on experience, and ongoing communication with KFPS members gives me a well-rounded perspective that I believe is valuable in this role.

I am committed to representing FHANA members with integrity, staying informed, and advocating for the continued improvement of the Friesian breed. I will bring a knowledgeable, consistent, and engaged voice to the council—one that prioritizes transparency, communication, and the best interests of both the membership and the breed. With my experience, dedication, and active involvement at both the national and international levels, I am confident in my ability to serve effectively and contribute meaningfully in this role.

Will Bron

Born and raised in Friesland, the Netherlands, and my love for the Friesian horse began by watching my grandfather work with the breed. I immigrated to the United States in 1980 to work in the dairy industry. I first lived in California, where I had the privilege of meeting Frank Leyendekker and participating in some of the first keurings in the US.  I was also present when the Friesian Horse Association of North America (FHANA) was formed. I ran some of the first horses in one of those early keurings in Pomona, CA.

In 1988 I moved to Washington State to start my own dairy farm, which I owned and operated until 2015. I met my wife in Washington; we have been married 25 years this April. My lifelong passion (besides my wife of course!)  has always been the Friesian horse. My wife and I breed, raise and train our own horses for both riding and driving. I drive singles, pairs, tandems, unicorn and have driven four-in-hands; I have competed in combined driving events and have prepared horses for keurings. I enjoy the horses and appreciate the friends I have made over the years because of the Friesian horses.

I became involved with FHANA in the early 2000s, serving two terms on the Board of Directors (six years). I am currently serving again on the FHANA Board and am now into my second term. I’ve also served two terms on the Ledenraad (two four-year terms) and, after a roughly five-year hiatus, I am running again because I believe strongly in representing our members’ interests. I am fluent in Dutch and Frisian and travel to the Netherlands frequently to visit family and attend Friesian horse events.

My goal remains to protect and promote the KFPS Friesian horse in North America.

Thank you for your support,
Will Bron
