Breeding and Kinship

Following our recent meetings with the KFPS, the FHANA Board of Directors is requesting a series of collaboration meetings between the KFPS Breeding Committee, the FHANA Breeding Committee, and the FHANA Health Committee.

The objective of these discussions is to compare data and perspectives regarding potential kinship issues related to approved stallions. Specifically, we aim to determine if and how these kinship factors are currently reflected in the health issues of the Friesian horse population.

We believe that aligning our committees on these topics is a vital step toward the continued health and improvement of the Friesian horse globally.
