Description

Krios (Lolke x Feike) is a 2011 gelding, standing 16.3hh (169 cm).  He was awarded second premie and Reserve Champion as a foal.  In 2015, Krios was awarded third premie and Champion Gelding as an adult,  We took him back in 2019 hoping his maturity would make him ster, but he was again awarded third premie, although he was once again named Champion Gelding, and even took Reserve Day Champion!

Krios excels as a trail horse. He is confident, willing, brave and safe.  He will cross water, bridges, take on steep, rocky terrain, plow through deadfall, follow a trail or blaze his own!  He is good as a leader and good with others.  He has been my primary Friesian for “camping” and trail riding.  He would make a great family horse, although he is a BIG mover with BIG gaits.   

Krios also has potential as a dressage Friesian, although he is more the baroque type. He had over 8 months of dressage training about 4 years ago and was developing rhythm, relaxation and balance under saddle.  Because I am a beginner dressage rider, I just never rode him as a dressage horse.

He is sweet, kind and “in your pocket.”  He bonds with his “person.” He is an easy keeper, good in a stall or in turnout, loads, travels well, bathes, clips, stands for farrier.  He has no health issues, needs no maintenance, is up to date on shots and is wormed regularly.

He is only for sale as we must downsize due to the addition of new horses.  A good home is a must for this sweet boy.
