Onyx is a yearling stud colt who contains an enormous amount of potential. This phenomenal colt is bound to have a wicked dressage and driving career. Not only does he have a pretty set of papers - this colt also has a beautiful head and phenomenal conformation. He has solid, strong hooves that will never need shod and beautiful straight legs.
Onyx is expected to have a LONG mane like his dad, and a long, thick tail like his mom. His Sire Alwin 469 Sport was the performance test champion at the 2011 Central Stallion Show, and already has one approved son Tiede 501. His Dam, Veerle fan StarKing is a KFPS Stb Kroon AA mare with a playful personality, and gentle temperament.
Onyx has such a good head on his shoulders, he is handled and loved on daily. We have just decided not to go this route as we are mare owners. Going to a good home with references is a MUST. This colt is SO special to us. He has way too much potential to go to waste, we would love to see him in a show home. He has the stunning Friesian walk and trot everyone is looking for that could potentially get him to the 70-day test. Due to COVID he has not been to any keurings, but the judges loved him in the virtual fun show! We will continue to train with him and show him until he is sold. Expect his price to go up as he receives more training.
Onyx can trailer, clip, tie, bathe, be turned out with geldings, etc. Anyone can walk him around, even kids. He does not bite or kick and is one of the best mannered stallions you will ever meet. He can lunge, do showmanship, and even knows some tricks! He is perfecting his bow currently and is even learning to push a ball!
Onyx has a lot of potential as a breeding stallion but would also make a fantastic gelding.
