2023 FHANA Judging Clinic-DATE CHANGE

FHANA will be conducting a level 1 Judging clinic November 6-8 at the Murieta Equestrian Center and again November 13-15 at the Hoosier Horse Park.

Clinics are now open for registrations and you can sign up by contacting the FHANA office at 859-455-7430 to reserve your spot.  Space is limited to 15 clinicians.

Clinics will be taught by KFPS Judge Will Thijssen and will cover the following materials.

 

Day 1
08.45 – 09.00 am               Welcome with coffee; handing out course book and other material

09.00 – 10.30                      Meet the course leaders and the participants; getting to know each other

Short introduction video

System of judging with marks, premiums and predicates

Theory about racial type and conformation

10.30 – 10.45                      Break

10.45 – 12.30                      Continuation of the theory

00.30 – 01.30 pm               Lunch

01.30 – 03.00                      Practice; repetition of the theory with a horse and judging the exterior of 2 horses

03.00 – 03.15                      Break

03.15 – 05.00                      Practice; judging the exterior of 3 horses

 

Day 2

09.00 – 10.30                      Theory about skeleton, leg stands, leg defects and movement

10.30 – 10.45                      Break

10.45 – 12.30                      Continuation of the theory

00.30 – 01.30 pm               Lunch

01.30 – 03.00                      Practice; repetition of the theory with a horse and judging 2 horses

03.00 – 03.15                       Break

03.15 – 05.00                      Practice; judging 3 horses
